Almost 2 million passengers traveled with SAS in October (+41%)

In October, 1.93 million passengers traveled with SAS, an increase of about 38% compared to the same month last year. SAS capacity increased about 41% compared to the same period last year. Compared to the previous month, the total number of passengers fell by 3% and capacity increased by 1%. Occupancy flown was 75% in October, an improvement of 13 percentage points compared to October last year.

We are pleased to have flown almost 2 million passengers with us in October, a healthy number despite a challenging macroeconomic environment. We continue to make progress in our US Chapter 11 process. We recently announced that we have entered into agreements with additional lessors to modify existing aircraft and equipment leases, which will result in cost savings and represent a further step towards achieving our targets in the SAS FORWARD plansays Anko van der Werff, President and CEO of SAS.
