On Saturday morning, November 12, a Jet2.com Boeing 737-300 (registered G-GDFG) operated flight LS271 between Leeds Bradford, United Kingdom and Alicante, Spain. During the flight, a drunk British passenger reached under a flight attendant’s skirt and touched her privates. The captain had no choice but to divert to Nantes Atlantique, France, where the passenger was arrested by French border police.
The Boeing 737 landed just before 10:00 a.m. (local time), where the captain decided to quickly disembark the passenger. The 66-year-old Briton, who had 2.2 grams of alcohol in his blood, was arrested on suspicion of putting his hand up the flight attendant’s skirt and touching her privates.
On Monday November 14, the Nantes court ruled that the passenger – blamed on the vodka and beer mix – would be released but face his sentence on December 13 for sexual assault.
