Hyster has added the new S2.0SD platform double stacker to its range of reliable storage equipment to help operations increase productivity while controlling costs.
Capable of handling loads of up to two tonnes, Hyster’s new stacker truck enables double stacking and handling of open-sided pallet loads, as well as the transport and loading or unloading of double stacked pallets in a trailer. It is particularly well-suited for logistic operations, retail, food distribution and dock loading applications where productivity is required when transporting and storing palletized loads.
Hyster’s new truck offers increased speed both loaded and unloaded, making it suitable for long distances or dockside work. It’s also been designed for operator efficiency, with a new tiller head, a choice of travel modes and a side arm design that allows it to be positioned more quickly.
For operator protection and comfort, the Hyster S2.0SD platform double stacker features a large platform with rubber floor mat for excellent grip and side/rear cab covers. The truck offers an ergonomic lift option for shelf replenishment operations with a two-stage NFL mast with lift heights of 1660mm, 2020mm and 2980mm. Space-constrained applications can also benefit from the flexibility of a flip-up platform. Fixed platform models are also available.
Those who choose to use a lithium-ion battery with the truck also benefit from high availability over multiple shifts, thanks to the ability to charge during breaks via the handy side plug. The truck is “Lithium-Ion Ready” and features a controller that automatically detects the battery’s chemistry (Lithium-Ion vs. Lead-Acid), eliminating the need to change any parameters to manage the battery.
“Cost management remains important, so the new Hyster double-deck platform truck is designed for reliability and productivity with a low total cost of ownership,” said Monica Radavelli, Hyster Warehouse Product Manager. “It features high-performance components, a robust design, a reliable electrical system and easy serviceability, which allows applications to be combined with additional options to further customize the truck to the specific application.”
Optional extras (depending on model) include Hyster Tracker telematics, multiple light packages, an adjustable drawbar, a key and keypad start system, load backrest, load wheels, a range of drive wheels, a foot sensor or cold store conversion. Additional options to enhance the operator experience include multipurpose poles and clamps, a clipboard and a bottle holder.
The Hyster S2.0SD dual platform stacker, which replaces the current Hyster P2.0SD model, is available to order now, enabling businesses to increase productivity and in turn benefit from cost savings.
