McGregor Logistics has moved into a new 287,000ft2 ‘mega depot’ in Armthorpe, Doncaster to accommodate the company’s growing needs.
The state-of-the-art facilities are bespoke for McGregor’s heavy lift, pallet haulage and pallet storage operations and already host a number of high profile clients from the automotive and gardening industries. The site includes a variety of energy-efficient features, including rainwater harvesting systems and multiple charging stations for electric cars.
Katy Riley, McGregor Logistics Operations Manager said: “This new location is a significant investment for us which will create fantastic opportunities and allow us to meet the demanding needs of the industry and move even more pallets in the region. We have had really positive feedback from our customers and these upgraded facilities are sure to open up even more opportunities for us and our customers.”
More than 60 employees work in the depot and together move more than 800 pallets per day. Accommodating McGregor’s growing fleet of 89 vehicles, the depot has 38 loading bays and four roller shutter doors with the capacity to store more than 44,000 pallets.
McGregor Logistics is one of over 120 depots that form part of the Palletways UK network and are owned by Imperial, a DP World company.
