Ryanair and travel technology company Amadeus today (11 November) announce their new distribution partnership that will further expand access to Ryanair’s offering for Amadeus’ industry-leading customer base (GDS). Operating 3,000 daily flights to 225 destinations in 36 countries, Ryanair is a leader in the post-COVID-19 air travel recovery, carrying 115% of pre-pandemic traffic – making it one of the most reliable choices to travel.
As businesses across Europe face growing economic and inflationary pressures, Ryanair offers market-leading connections, frequencies, punctuality and fares in Europe, now available to book through the Amadeus Travel Platform from late 2022. The partnership supports Ryanair’s growth vision of its visibility and reach to Amadeus customers, particularly for business travel. Seamless integration with Amadeus’ booking workflows and processes will give customers operational efficiencies in finding, booking and delivering Ryanair content, and will offer cost-conscious travelers a greater choice of travel options.
Ryanair’s expanded travel offering can not only generate significant savings for customers, it will also help them manage their carbon footprint and improve their ESG credentials with the lowest carbon emissions2 -Emissions per passenger/km by a major European airline, a performance it underpins way to net zero until 2050 decarbonization strategy. This is a clear mission for Amadeus and the new partnership will help bring these eco-friendly offerings to an even wider audience.
