Vector.ai is renamed under the name raft. The name change to Raft underscores the evolution into a comprehensive operational platform for freight forwarders.
Since launching as Vector.ai in 2017, the company has provided industry-leading AI to automate document and email processing for carriers. While AI for automated document and email processing remains at the core of the company’s technology, the renaming to Raft indicates the greater need for shippers to have a single platform for their day-to-day workflow.
“Raft’s goal is to help shippers streamline their entire shipping process throughout the lifecycle,” said James Coombes, CEO of Raft. “Yes, we use the industry-leading AI implementation in our platform, but we now offer many more features on top of each shipment, such as: E.g. the visibility of emissions, which allows our trucking and brokerage customers to offer their end customers an ever better service on the reverse of the standardization that we already provide. It’s a really strong concept that has resonated with our customer base.
“Our global goal is to understand every event of every broadcast, to automate everything, and this rebranding – and the mindset that comes with it – is another step towards that mission.”
On average, Raft currently saves shippers over an hour per shipment across its platform’s product offerings, helping its customers save more than $2.1 million in net labor productivity savings each year. Multinational shippers naturally achieve far greater savings. It is said that this significant influence is helping to expand its position as the leading – and only – intelligent operations platform for the industry.
To celebrate the successful evolution from AI provider to intelligent platform for trucking excellence, Raft also has a full rebrand with a new design, logo and website.
